KHS India to expand beverage industry solutions in India

KHS India, a company that specializes in sustainable and efficient packaging and filling systems, recently initiated the construction of its new plant worth Rs. 50 crore. In attendance during the laying of the foundation stone for the new plant were Kai Acker, CEO of KHS Global, Martin Resch, Chairman of KHS India, Yatindra Sharma, MD of KHS India, Dr Johannes T. Grobe, Chief Sales Officer of KHS Global, and Beate Schäfer, CHRO of KHS Global.

KHS India provides cutting-edge solutions to prominent names in the beverage industry, including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Amul, Nestle, Parle, Daawat, Megha, Carlsberg, and Heineken, among others. Collaborating with KHS Global, which has been serving the global beverage industry for over 150 years, KHS India aims to bring KHS Global's innovative technologies and technical know-how to India through the new plant. The company is also developing a state-of-the-art digital technology center that will provide innovative digital solutions in technology training, after-sales service, project installation, and commissioning.

According to Martin Resch, Chairman of KHS India, the new plant will allow KHS India to introduce the most innovative technologies and technical know-how of KHS Global to India. Meanwhile, the new digital technology center will provide advanced digital solutions for technology training, after-sales service, project installation, and commissioning.

Kai Acker, CEO of KHS Global, expressed confidence in the prospects of the beverage industry in India and KHS's commitment to providing world-class technology solutions that contribute to sustainability and energy savings. Yatindra Sharma, Managing Diector of KHS India, added that despite the global headwinds, the Indian economy is one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world, and KHS is optimistic about the growth potential of the beverage market in India. The new plant, which will cost Rs. 50 crores, will increase the company's production capacity by 40%, helping KHS India meet the future requirements of the beverage industry.

The new plant, which is being built adjacent to KHS India's existing plant in Ahmedabad, is expected to generate 150 direct jobs and many more indirect job opportunities. The existing plant was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in 2007.
