Fischer Connectors Launches Wearable Power and Data Hub
Swiss-based connectivity solutions provider Fischer Connectors has launched a wearable power and data hub for dismounted soldiers. Called Fischer KEYSTONE™, the product enables troops to connect and manage multiple communications and digital devices through a single hub.
The hub includes a wearable power and data hub with six ports, an integrated power management app, and customised cable assembly solutions with Nett Warrior and NATO STANAG 4695 compatible connectors. It meets military specifications, including MIL-STD 810 and 461 and is designed to address challenges presented by digital modernisation programs, such as increased data transmission speeds and more significant power requirements.
Fischer KEYSTONE™ is comparable to the US Army's Next Generation Hub, providing military OEM integrators with a competitive solution. It connects to Nett Warrior and NATO STANAG 4695 standard components and is simple to operate with no training required and no maintenance or repair parts.
Jonathan Brossard, CEO of Conextivity Group and parent of Fischer Connectors, said, "the soldier is the centre of the digital transformation in armed forces". He added that the company's experts had tackled the soldier connectivity challenge with a Swiss-engineered hub that meets tough military standards. Soldiers can easily use it by wearing, connecting, and going.
Olivier Thormann, Fischer KEYSTONE™ Product Manager, explained that the device is a complete connectivity solution that meets the performance requirements of soldier modernisation and digital transformation programs such as the US Army 2030 initiative. Fischer KEYSTONE™ is a valuable innovation in the tactical connectivity sector, providing soldiers with an efficient, reliable, and easily deployable MIL-spec solution.
